Sammons Cabaret

Sammons Cabaret is a New York-style cabaret performance series launched in the Spring of 2012 featuring top local vocal performers. The series showcases local artists in an intimate, elegant setting where the artist is the focal point. It is an intensely personal evening of song and stories, where the audience participates in a direct, emotional conversation with the artist.

The Carson Series of Sammons Cabaret, sponsored by Judy and Royal Carson, features top local vocalists performing music from the Great American Songbook, Broadway show tunes, torch songs, and other standards.

Presented in the intimate setting of Kurth Hall on the third Thursday of the month, February through May and September through December, each concert begins at 8:00 pm and consists of two sets with a brief intermission between sets. Refreshments are served from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again during intermission. Doors to Kurth Hall, located on the fourth floor of the historic Sammons Center, open at 7:30 pm

Performing at Sammons Cabaret: We hire local acts from the Dallas-Fort Worth area. To be considered as a performer, please forward your bio, photo (or electronic press kit), music sample, and contact information to info@sammonsartcenter.org
