SUMMARY:Elevate Your Artistry: A Two-Day Professional Vocalist Intensive
DESCRIPTION:You got the gig—now what? \nJoin the Sammons Center and acclaimed vocalist\, educator\, arts leader\, and Director of Special Projects at the Sammons Center\, Dr. Keron Jackson\, for a FREE two-day intensive designed to help working vocalists strengthen both their artistry and their professional careers.  \nThe workshop is limited to 20 vocalists. All applications/registrations will be reviewed and approved on a first-come\, first-served basis.  \nApplication/Registration will be approved based on the following criteria. Eligible participants must:  \n⭐Live/Work in North Texas\, i.e.\, Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. \n⭐Work at least one paid professional vocalist gig a year.  \n⭐Attend both days (12:00 PM to 4:00 PM). \n⭐Know what key they sing in. \n⭐Provide their own sheet music. \nWorkshop Schedule:  \nDAY 1:  \nDate: Tuesday\, July 21\, 2026 \nTime: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM \nLocation: Kurth Hall (4th floor) \nSummary: Day One focuses on the skills needed to succeed beyond the stage. Participants will enjoy lunch while engaging with industry professionals through interactive panel discussions covering presentation\, marketing\, and music skills. Featured panelists include Liz Mikel\, Rebecca Cordes\, Carolyn Lee Jones\, Marica Cruz\, Joanna St. Angelo\, and Dr. Keron Jackson. \nDAY 2:  \nDate: Wednesday\, July 22\, 2026 \nTime: 12:00 – 4:00 PM \nLocation: Kurth Hall \nSummary: Day Two offers a hands-on masterclass experience where participants will perform and receive personalized feedback from Dr. Keron Jackson and Joanna St. Angelo.
