DESCRIPTION:The Larry Spencer Quintet kicks off the season with the bold call of the trumpet as Larry Spencer delivers vibrant jazz arrangements shaped by his wide-ranging career. His quintet features Bruce Bohnstengel on saxes\, Steve Harlos on piano\, Brian Warthen on electric bass\, and Steve Barnes on drums. \nThe Don Ambrose Trio makes their return to Sammons Jazz with Dallas-based pianist Don Ambrose’s warm\, expressive piano style and a set of timeless jazz standards and more. His trio includes Lou Harlas on bass and Stockton Helbing on drums. \n  \nThis concert begins at 7:30 p.m.; doors open at 7:00 p.m. Check-in opens at 6:00 p.m. in the lobby with a pre-concert reception on the 2nd floor. Tickets are $55 per person or $50 for Sammons members. \nAdmission includes light refreshments\, beverages\, a pre-concert reception\, and complimentary valet parking.
