DESCRIPTION:Opening the concert\, the Bobby Falk Group performs original contemporary jazz that blends modern and traditional styles through inventive compositions and dynamic improvisation. Led by drummer Bobby Falk\, the quintet features Aaron Irwinsky on saxophone\, Chris Borin on trumpet\, Jeff Furgo on piano\, and Brian Warthen on bass. \nIn the second set\, Brasuka takes the audience on a vibrant musical journey through the rhythms of Brazil. With original arrangements that blend samba\, reggae\, and beyond\, Brasuka celebrates the universal language of music. This multicultural ensemble features Rosana Eckert on vocals\, José Aponte on drums\, Ricardo Bozas on percussion\, Tom Burchill on guitar\, Denny Robinson on keyboards\, and Brian Warthen on bass. \nThis concert begins at 7:30 p.m.; doors open at 7:00 p.m. Check-in opens at 6:00 p.m. in the lobby with a pre-concert reception on the 2nd floor. Tickets are $55 per person or $50 for Sammons members. \nAdmission includes light refreshments\, beverages\, a pre-concert reception\, and complimentary valet parking.
