DESCRIPTION:Former artistic director\, multi-instrumentalist and composer Roger Boykin is back with an exciting show. Roger Boykin Presents The Heritage String Quartette features Roger’s arrangements of Duke Ellington music\, the American Songbook\, as well as Roger’s original compositions. Roger spent time during the pandemic composing string arrangements and says the number kept growing and growing into a complete catalogue of music. The group includes Roger Boykin on flute and conducting\, Maria Demus & JeRae Dublin on violin\, Steven Juarez on viola and Jordan Jones on cello. \nWe continue with the adept pianist Bill Lohr. Bill has traveled the world playing piano for Carmen McRae\, Lou Rawls\, the Lawrence Welk Orchestra and others. Bill Lohr and Friends features Bill Lohr on piano\, Lyles West on bass\, Steve Barnes on drums and Rodney Booth on trumpet.
