DESCRIPTION:Experience CONVERGENCE\, the electrifying opening of Verdigris Ensemble’s season\, featuring the world premiere of Yaz Lancaster’s SYNASTRY and Terry Riley’s iconic In C. \nComposed of 53 short interchangeable musical phrases\, each performance of In C is a living\, breathing creation that reflects the unique interaction of the musicians on stage and the audience in the room. The result is a mesmerizing soundscape that is never the same twice\, offering audiences a one-of-a-kind experience every time they hear it. \nComplementing In C is the world premiere of Yaz Lancaster’s SYNASTRY\, a choral work that delves into the astrological concept of synastry—the study of how celestial bodies interact in two individuals’ birth charts to illuminate the dynamics of their relationship. SYNASTRY features layered vocal lines that begin in unison before dissolving into more complex\, independent movements\, symbolizing the convergence of distinct personalities and energies in human relationships. The text\, co-written by Lancaster and Victoria Mbabazi\, captures the tension and harmony inherent in these interactions\, exploring themes of desire\, connection\, and emotional depth.

DESCRIPTION:Concerned that Julius Caesar poses a threat to democracy\, revolutionaries take the violent decision to murder him. As the world spins out of control\, chaos and superstition lead to civil war. \nNEED TO KNOW: \nFall Entry Times: 6:45pm for season ticket subscribers I  7:00pm for Advanced Sales and Groups I 7:30pm General Admission I  8:00 pm curtain \nRun time for is approximately 1.5 hours and will include a 10-minute intermission. \nPatrons are welcome to bring in chairs\, blankets\, picnic baskets\, food\, beer\, and wine. \nTICKETS AND ADMISSION: \nTickets will be emailed to you upon purchase. Please present your ticket barcode to the Front of House attendants for scanning when you arrive. Tickets may be purchased online up until the beginning of the performance (encouraged) or at the front gate. \nLost your ticket? Click on “resend confirmation” at the top of the page to have a copy of your ticket emailed to you. We encourage you to create an account so you can always access your tickets. \nPARKING: \nPlease purchase parking when you purchase your tickets. A separate parking barcode will be included in your ticket purchase confirmation email. Cash will also be accepted at the parking lot entrance. Parking is $7 per performance or a season parking pass may be purchased for $20. \nGROUP RATES: \nGroups are encouraged! For information on attending with your group of 10 or more\, please contact patron services at groups@shakespearedallas.org. \nREFUNDS: \nShakespeare Dallas has a strict no refund policy. Our tickets are flexible\, so you’re always able to use the ticket you’ve purchased for another night.  In the event of a weather related cancellation of a show\, rain checks are issued so that our patrons may have every opportunity to see another performance. Refunds may only be issued for show cancellations during the last weekend of performances.
