Sammons Jazz Virtual Concert: Stockton Helbing Trio

March 3 - March 17

- Free – $10

Sammons Jazz kicks off its spring season of virtual concerts Wednesday, March 3, with an online reception at 7 p.m., followed by a dazzling set by the Stockton Helbing Trio at 7:30 p.m. Drummer, composer, and band leader Stockton Helbing leads the Stockton Helbing Trio in a dazzling set of jazz, including cuts from his newest album, “Light Sleeper.”

Stockton, who has performed, toured, and recorded with artists such as Maynard Ferguson, Doc Severinsen, and Arturo Sandoval, is joined by two artists well known to North Texas jazz fans, James Driscoll on bass and Davy Mooney on guitar. As personable as he is talented, Stockton sprinkles anecdotes and insights about his music throughout this special Sammons Jazz Virtual Concert.
