Sammons Jazz and the USA Film Festival partner once again to present two exciting film documentaries on Saturday, April 23, at the Angelika Film Center Dallas to celebrate Dallas Jazz Appreciation Month. Oscar Peterson: Black+White screens at 3 p.m., followed by a Q&A with the director Barry Avrich and producer Mark Selby moderated by Sammons Jazz Artistic Diretor and Steinway Artist Arlington Jones.
Omar Sosa’s 88 Well-Tuned Drums screens at 5 p.m. and, as a bonus, the acclaimed Cuban-born jazz artist will be in attendance. Both screenings are free, but reservations are strongly recommended.
