A Message from the Sammons Center Regarding COVID-19
The Sammons Center for the Arts administrative office is now open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays and resident arts groups may return on the same schedule. Masks are strongly recommended, but not required in public areas. Activities are allowed on a case-by-case basis subject to COVID-19 safety guidelines.
On October 20, 2020, the Sammons Center Board of Directors approved a Facility Reopening Policy which was revised on June 7, 2021, and remains in effect. This policy includes, but is not limited to, requirements for travel-related quarantine, face masks, temperature checks, and social distancing as well as strategies for cleaning and sanitizing the building. We continue to closely monitor developments related to COVID-19 and follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local health and government authorities such as the City of Dallas, Dallas County Health and Human Services, and the State of Texas.
