A Message from the Sammons Center Regarding COVID-19
The Sammons Center for the Arts remains temporarily closed to some activities. The administrative office is now open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and resident arts groups may return on the same schedule. Anyone entering the Sammons Center is required to provide of vaccination to the Sammons Center administrative staff. If proof of vaccination cannot be provided, a mask or a negative COVID-19 test is required. Masks must be used in public areas. Activities are allowed on a case-by-case basis subject to COVID-19 safety guidelines.
As the pandemic situation evolves, with higher vaccination rates and lower new case numbers. we are planning for the eventual re-opening of the Sammons Center. On October 20, 2020, the Sammons Center Board of Directors approved a Facility Reopening Policy which remains in effect. This policy includes, but is not limited to, requirements for travel-related quarantine, face masks, temperature checks, and social distancing as well as strategies for cleaning and sanitizing the building. We continue to closely monitor developments related to COVID-19 and follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local health and government authorities such as the City of Dallas, Dallas County Health and Human Services, and the State of Texas.
In the meantime, please stay healthy and secure. We encourage you to support the local arts community via the many events and activities offered in person and online. If you have any questions, please contact us; click here for the staff directory or email us at email@example.com. We look forward to when we can share the arts with you in person!
