Celestial Harmonies

Welcome to Celestial Harmony: An Afternoon Tea Event at Sammons Center for the Arts, where we invite you to join us in celebrating the extraordinary 2024 solar eclipse.  

Prepare to be enchanted as we usher in this celestial spectacle with refined elegance and mystical insights.  

Join us on Monday, April 8th, as we open our doors at 11:30 AM to welcome you to an afternoon of cosmic delight at the Sammons Center for the Arts, located at 3630 Harry Hines Blvd. in Dallas, TX.  

Indulge in a sophisticated champagne tea luncheon featuring an array of delectable treats, perfectly complemented by a selection of exquisite teas. Our menu includes both sweet and savory delights. Champagne will also be provided during the totality of the eclipse.   

Immerse yourself in the enchanting melodies of C2, a live piano and string duo, as they provide a melodic backdrop inspired by the celestial wonders above.  

For those seeking a mystical experience, tarot readers will be on hand to offer insights and guidance, adding an element of mystery and personal revelation to the event.  

As the grand finale, guests will have the exclusive opportunity to witness the total solar eclipse in all its glory. Totality will begin over the Sammons Center for the Arts at 1:40 PM and end at 1:44 PM. Special Eclipse glasses will be provided for safe viewing, ensuring memories that will last a lifetime.  

We encourage guests to embrace the spirit of the occasion by wearing fascinators and cocktail attire, adding to the elegance and charm of the event.

Seen last year in the nationally touring musical production of 1776, Liz Mikel graces us for a night in her hometown for a concert that promises to transport the audience directly to Broadway in New York City, where she has spent much of her career. With a electrifying presence, an incredible voice, and a list of appearances on renowned stages among famous colleagues, there is no way of knowing what exactly is in store for all lucky enough to get a ticket to Liz’s Sammons Cabaret show.

Sammons Jazz Artistic Director and Steinway Artist Arlington Jones brings back Arlington Jones & The Soul Chamber Band for another night of his original music, captivating orchestrations and hip grooves.

In both sets Arlington is featured on piano with Arlington “Ollie” Jones III on drums, James Driscoll on bass, Jorge Ginorio on percussion, Quamon Fowler on sax, Meg Griffith on flute.
